EDM 310 Class for 11/10 and 11/12 - Microsoft Access

Good Monday Class!

I appreciate everyone for being so understanding last week. It was a great conference and Knoxville this time of year was absolutely beautiful. We are in the home stretch for this course and I know you all are busy and looking forward to the end of the semester.

This week we will talk about Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access is a powerful program to create and manage your databases. A computer database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system. It has many built in features to assist you in constructing and viewing your information.

Google Documents does not have a database program yet. Database will round out our knowledge of software that can assist us in our classrooms. The others being Google Docs (similar to Microsoft Word), Google Presentation (similar to Microsoft PowerPoint) and Google Spreadsheet (similar to Microsoft Excel).
