EDM 310 Class for 11/24

Class,

Today, we will do the last assignment for Foliotek. On eCollege, I posted a word document that you need to download and fill in the required information. We will do it in class and upload it to Foliotek [290-3-3-.03 (5)(c)5.(ii) Knowledge of safe, responsible, legal and ethical uses of technologies including fair-use and copyright guidelines and internet-user protection policies.]

Make sure that you have all five Foliotek standards in before we finish class next Monday. I cannot give you a grade in the course without all of the Foliotek standards loaded.

I will also give you a Final Review sheet that we will go over and make sure that you can complete.

The Final for this class will be next Monday December 2nd during our normal class period.

Thanks

EDM 310 Class for 11/10 and 11/12 - Microsoft Access

Good Monday Class!

I appreciate everyone for being so understanding last week. It was a great conference and Knoxville this time of year was absolutely beautiful. We are in the home stretch for this course and I know you all are busy and looking forward to the end of the semester.

This week we will talk about Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access is a powerful program to create and manage your databases. A computer database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system. It has many built in features to assist you in constructing and viewing your information.

Google Documents does not have a database program yet. Database will round out our knowledge of software that can assist us in our classrooms. The others being Google Docs (similar to Microsoft Word), Google Presentation (similar to Microsoft PowerPoint) and Google Spreadsheet (similar to Microsoft Excel).

EDM 310 CLASSES 11/3 and 11/5

Everyone, Today (11/3) and Wednesday (11/5) there will not be an official class meeting. I am going out of town early tomorrow morning for a conference in Knoxville, Tennessee where I will be presenting two papers. I am going to be working on my presentations today and will be taking care of business throughout the building in preparation for me being gone all week. The room will be available to you to finish up any of the assignments that you have not completed today and Wednesday. If you are finished with all assignments and don't have any questions then enjoy your week off. If you have any questions or need to see me I will be around until about 4:30 today.

Also, please take time tomorrow to go vote and have your voice heard!

Thanks and I will see everyone next week.
